Big Idaho Potato Truck Will Be In Topeka!

The Big Idaho® Potato Truck will be in Topeka for the Kansas Taco Festival on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2848 SE 29th St!  The Big Idaho Potato Truck is in the midst of its seventh cross country tour. The tour began in 2012 as a campaign celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Idaho Potato Commission! It grew from a spud to a huge iconic event. The truck now travels to promote the heart healthy Idaho Potato and helps charities with its A Big Helping program. 

What Is the Big Idaho® Potato Truck?
 
The new Big Potato Truck is a 72-foot long flatbed trailer featuring a 28-foot long, 10-foot wide and 11.5-foot tall, 4 ton Idaho® potato.  Even after people see it they can’t but ask, “Is it real?”  Here are some fun facts about the Big Idaho Potato on the truck:
·  Is the equivalent of 21,562 medium-size potatoes!
·  Weighs 802 times more than the largest potato ever grown, which clocked in at 11 pounds!
·  Makes 20,217 servings of mashed potatoes!
·  Makes close to 1 million French fries!
·  Takes nearly 7,000 years to grow!
·  Takes about 2 years to bake!
